The Ethereum Foundation announced that the Holešky testnet has reached its planned end-of-life and will be sunset shortly, with most remaining validator nodes shut down two weeks after the Fusaka upgrade finalizes on Holešky. Afterward, client, testing and infrastructure teams will no longer support the network. Staking operators and infrastructure providers are directed to migrate to Hoodi, launched in March 2025, while application and tooling developers should use Sepolia. Holešky's sunset follows extensive inactivity leaks after the Pectra testnet activation in early 2025, which created a large exit queue.
