House Announces Week of July 14th as “Crypto Week”

House leadership announced that the week of July 14th will be "Crypto Week," during which the House plans to consider the CLARITY Act, the Anti-CBDC Surveillance State Act, and the Senate's GENIUS Act. Chairman French Hill said the legislation would establish a clear regulatory framework for digital assets, provide rules for dollar-backed payment stablecoins, and permanently block a Central Bank Digital Currency. The House Financial Services Committee reported the CLARITY Act 32-19 on June 10, 2025, and the House Agriculture Committee reported it 47-6.
