Humane is looking for a buyer

Humane, the startup behind the AI Pin wearable, is reportedly seeking a buyer for its business at a price of between $750 million and $1 billion, according to Bloomberg. The company, led by former Apple employees Imran Chaudhri and Bethany Bongiorno, has raised $230 million from investors including OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The article says the $699 device was widely panned for slow responses and a user experience that fell short of its promised always-on AI assistant concept, and that Humane was valued at $850 million in 2023, before the product's release.
