I Rewrote my CV in Typst and I'll Never Look Back

The author rewrote their CV in Typst after finding LaTeX on Overleaf hard to work with, and argues Typst is simpler and faster for this task. They report that their Typst CV, a single 180-line file, renders immediately, while the Overleaf LaTeX project of about 820 lines took four seconds to compile on Overleaf's free plan, which they say may be a factor. They describe Typst's markdown-like syntax and its templating for repeated sections such as a row of links with icons, which they learned in three minutes from Typst's tutorial. They also note that Typst compiles to PDF with a single command after installing it via Homebrew, and they plan to publish the CV through a GitHub action on their website.
