IPFS Mainnet: Gathering the Commons

The IPFS ecosystem is moving toward a commons-based model, with many separate companies, foundations and funding partners, and an ETH Denver event invites people to help support and govern large public projects such as the ipfs.io public gateway and the Kubo IPFS node codebase. Adin Schmahmann of IPFS Shipyard, an IPFS Core Maintainer, is scheduled to present on Shipyard's "New Chapter" and other initiatives. A facilitated discussion hosted by Boris Mann, Founder of Fission, will follow, covering questions such as what a "mainnet" means, who will support running ipfs.io, and what the takedown rules for the main gateway should be. Attendees must join a waitlist and write a custom message to be accepted.
