Anthropic has released Claude Opus 4.7 as generally available, describing it as a notable improvement over Opus 4.6 in advanced software engineering, especially on the most difficult tasks. The company says it is less broadly capable than Claude Mythos Preview and that its cyber capabilities are not as advanced, with safeguards that automatically detect and block prohibited or high-risk cybersecurity requests. Security professionals with legitimate uses are invited to join a new Cyber Verification Program. Pricing remains $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens, and the model is available through Claude products, the API, and several cloud platforms.
