Introducing the Soul Wallet Smart Contract Design

Soul Wallet has introduced a smart contract design for an ERC-4337 account abstraction wallet, built around high extensibility, permanent user ownership and security. The team states that the core contract stays unchanged while functionality is added through modules and plugins, so new features do not require upgrading the logic contract. Its social recovery module lets guardians change the signing key only, with changes to guardians subject to a waiting period, and anonymous guardians can be stored as hashes. Modules and plugins added to a wallet are subject to a time lock, with a whitelist of trusted contracts that can skip the 48-hour wait.
