Curious how many people would actually use it.

The many new users that are coming, supposedly, if they don't buy ETFs instead. But maybe the Pudgy Penguins in Walmart can convince them to use cb.id and uni.eth for easy entry.

+1 to rvolz. Many newcomers might not buy their ENS so that the subdomains would be a good entry point. I'd expect that Coinbase will be in a really good position to distribute its own subdomains. And there are also Farcaster & Lens integrations that might let people use their web3 social names.
