So is my understanding here correct that Krishnan is rejected by the MAGA camp because he‘s an immigrant and because of his skin color? That’s at least what I read on Loomer’s X account. Wild. I guess it‘s true that they (tech people) played with fire when they had themselves voted into power on a white supremacy platform… There is only one person who matters in the republic party and he was pro tech visa when he appeared on All In. That's true. In fact, it's hard to understand how these white supremacists got the impression that Trump would only put white people into power. While he may be known for dog-whistling on race issues, it seems foolish to bet on this politically. In fact, his administration includes a diverse group of individuals from various backgrounds and identities. It's strange to think that anyone would assume that an entitlement to only have white people in the administration was promised during the election process. I posted another interesting article here that outlines the anti-Elon argument already before the election: https://news.kiwistand.com/stories/Race-in-America-and-the-Dork-Right?index=0x676fcf0289c30259285524302360ae0a1881a72c164df648a50545678e1f79b95ceff6d4 I have followed the discussion on X, and most people care less about Sriram's skin color and more about his (alleged) India-first perspective. They believe he cares more about India than the United States, which means that he might have conflicts of interests, at least in the H-1B visa space, where he could get more Indians to the US job market which would decrease the wages. He's ofc not going to be responsible for the visa program, but in politics details like that don't matter, I guess. Speaking of H-1B, this guy made an interesting analysis that actually proves the point that the program - aside from all its merits - is also being used to import cheaper tech workers and consultants to the US: https://news.kiwistand.com/stories/Analysis-of-the-5-years-of-H-1B-data?index=0x6772615f6ad6f2174c1d955c091371cd3a73363a19214cbcc6fffecbb0efcfc1640b8c96 | |
