Making Ethereum alignment legible
AI summary of the linked articleVitalik Buterin argues that "Ethereum alignment" should be made legible by breaking it into specific properties that can be measured, rather than judged by social connections. The proposed properties include open source code, open standards, decentralization and security (tested by the walkaway test and the insider attack test), and benefit to the wider Ethereum community and the world. The author suggests that independent monitors like L2beat should track projects against these criteria, with the Ethereum Foundation funding such efforts but not performing them itself. |

1 comment timSubmitter Actually this is a really interesting proposal that I'd like to work on in the future too, especially for decentralized social networks. I think with our knowledge at Kiwi News we already know a lot of the important properties of what makes resilient social networks and so we could create a simple document that mirrors L2Beat but for Lens, Farcaster, Kiwi etc. |
