I imagine he personally didn't like it either but the political pressure must have been intense. Really curious to watch the next year once the Overton window opened.

In the video he makes a critical statement about Europe, specifically mentioning that “Europe has an ever-increasing number of laws that institutionalize censorship” and make it “difficult to build anything innovative there”. This is mentioned in the context of his discussion about pushing back against global government censorship, where he contrasts different regions' approaches to content regulation. So guess Europeans are the bad guys now ;) (But he doesn’t want to put that in writing)
I readily accept that we're the bad guys now. Actually, if I had to classify European stupidity to e.g. Chinese stupidity, then Europeans are classically stupid, they cause harm to themselves and to others, whereas Chinese are bandit-stupid, they cause losses to others, but at least they benefit themselves. No but, I mean, the "hey Europe is shit" thing is just another one of these... *looks at notes* shibboleths to pledge allegiance to those currently in power. You can only truly be part of the California-uber-alles clique if you say that Europe sucks, publicly. As Farcaster users we know this culture well
