NFT: The Flood - Yoshi Sodeoka

Yoshi Sodeoka's NFT series The Flood uses spiders as its subject, with two parts, The Flood: Orchestrated and The Flood: Chaos, that pair predator-prey behaviour with algorithmic generation. The series began with footage of spider behaviour transformed into looping animations and manipulated with motion graphics software. In The Flood: Orchestrated, predator-prey interactions are coded to mirror the calculated movements of spiders, while The Flood: Chaos uses the same initial parameters to produce a different result with each iteration. Both series include auditory elements meant to heighten the sense of conflict.
