OORT Updates Tokenomics to Enhance Decentralization and Sustainability

OORT has updated its tokenomics to strengthen decentralization, transparency and long-term sustainability. The founding team's release schedule for its 200 million $OORT tokens (10% of supply) is extended from four years to six years. Of the 1.3 billion tokens (65% of supply) reserved for mining, 400 million will go to OORT Edge node rewards over five years, with the first stage releasing 200 million tokens at 2.875 $OORT per node per day. Another 800 million tokens will be locked in a smart contract for five years starting September 15, 2024, with releases halving each year after an initial 100 million in year one.
