Open Core Ventures has published its handbook, which it describes as its source of truth for how it creates new companies and includes recommendations and guidance for building and growing open core companies. The handbook is organized into four sections: Startup Manual, Company Operations, Catalyst (guidance on starting a new open source project), and OCV Employees (internal policies and operations). The company says it is public to support its mission of enabling more people to become founders, that its guidance is continuously updated and subject to change, and that it should not be relied on for legal, investment, or tax advice.
