Pump.snuff

This opinion piece argues that pump.fun, a token creation platform that added livestreams, has become a venue for escalating self-harm, animal cruelty and other dangerous acts that users stream to win token attention. It cites Trevv, a 19-year-old who faked his death during a stream to pump $CHD, and a creator whose $CFC stream culminated in the killing of a chicken. It also cites Beau Security's documentation of users self-harming for token pumps, and says that pump.fun's founder Alon's claim of a large moderation team rang hollow. The article says pump.fun quietly removed livestreams after public outcry, but the damage is already done.
