Quietus Machine

Quietus Machine is a generative art work in which three computers sealed in transparent acrylic cubes compute continuously while powered, making their own internal state the material of the work. Each edition is sold as an Art Blocks token on Ethereum through a serial English auction, and it lives from the moment its auction opens until the winning bid is settled, with the machine's accumulated state recorded on-chain as that edition's memory. The machines record processor load, temperature, memory, network activity and nearby radio activity, and the published policy says no personal data is shared and only device counts leave the machine.
