Reimagining self custody

MetaMask's near-term roadmap aims to make its wallet easier to use, more connected across networks, and more powerful and secure through programmable accounts. The announcement says Smart Transactions reached a 99.995% overall success rate in 2024, and that gas-included Swaps let users pay fees in the token they are swapping. It also lists upcoming launches: native Solana support in May, full Bitcoin support in Q3 this year, a multichain API in June, and a MetaMask Card that links self-custody wallets to Mastercard's network.
