Review completed & Altman, Brockman to continue to lead OpenAI

The OpenAI Board said Sam Altman and Greg Brockman will continue to lead the company after an external review by the law firm WilmerHale. The Board expressed full confidence in their leadership, and Bret Taylor, Chair of the OpenAI Board, said "We have unanimously concluded that Sam and Greg are the right leaders for OpenAI." Altman will rejoin the Board, three new members were elected (Sue Desmond-Hellmann, Nicole Seligman and Fidji Simo), and the Board adopted governance changes including a whistleblower hotline. WilmerHale found a breakdown in trust between the prior Board and Altman precipitated the November 17 removals, and that the decision did not stem from product safety, finances or statements to investors.
