SSV Validators Experience Slashing Event

A number of Ethereum validators on the SSV Network were slashed due to operator-side errors, which SSV Network says was not caused by the SSV protocol. A single validator was penalized about 0.3 ETH for a double-signing violation, and about 90 minutes later a cluster of 39 validators was affected after keys were active simultaneously in two infrastructures, which Ankr acknowledged as an internal key management error during maintenance. The SSV protocol and infrastructure were not compromised, and the slashed validators will automatically exit the active set.
