SearchGPT Prototype

OpenAI has launched a SearchGPT prototype built with publishers, along with a new way for publishers to manage how they appear in SearchGPT. The company says SearchGPT is about search and is separate from training its generative AI foundation models, so sites can appear in search results even if they opt out of generative AI training. Publishers and creators have said they want to understand how to engage with AI search products and how their content performs, and OpenAI says it will use the prototype to learn more and share findings.
