The a16z crypto 2024 State of Crypto report finds that crypto activity and usage reached all-time highs, with monthly active addresses hitting 220 million in September, more than triple the figure at the end of 2023. The increase is primarily attributed to Solana, which accounted for about 100 million active addresses. The report also highlights stablecoins, which it says recorded $8.5 trillion in transaction volume in the second quarter of 2024, more than double Visa's $3.9 trillion over the same period. It further reports that Pennsylvania and Wisconsin saw among the largest jumps in crypto search interest since 2020.
