Stocketa: a dive into the app I designed, built and never launched

Stocketa is a portfolio tracker that its designer built as a personal iOS side project starting in March 2020, then stopped pursuing before launch. The app centers on a single feed of stock cards that show most information inline, with per-transaction gain/loss based on the user's own cost basis. The designer built custom navigation, sheets, swipe actions and a header instead of standard iOS components, and started with IEX as the data provider because it allowed commercial use. The project took 10-20 hours a week over more than two years, and the post is a written archive of the app before it was shut down.
