The Ethereum Community Foundation Gets to Work

The Ethereum Community Foundation (ECF), a team that self-assembled in 2025, is building "token-free public infrastructure" and has released several Ethereum tools in 2025 and 2026. The article highlights three of them: an Ethereum MCP that lets Claude models query Ethereum and its L2s through data sources such as Blobscan, Etherscan, CoinGecko and DefiLlama; Blobdrop, which hosts files up to 127 KB in blobspace for 18 days; and Swapboard, a peer-to-peer OTC bulletin board for trading any ERC-20 token with zero fees and an audited immutable contract.
