This reminds me of Golden, a project where I once wanted to work. Their idea was to create a global database of basic facts, like e.g., "Mark Zuckerberg is the CEO of Facebook", "United States were founded in 1789", "All squares are rectangles", and then build other layers of facts on top of that until you get Wikipedia v2. Interesting thing was that you could feed all these facts into AI and see how it could connect the dots differently than humans do. And if you wanted to add any fact, you had to stake some $, and if someone disproved it, then they could take your stake. IIRC they stopped this project and merged with some other company which had less ambitious goals.
