This App Pays You Crypto to Share Your Poop Pics

Doop, an AI-powered health app, is set to launch its public beta this fall and will pay users in cryptocurrency for regularly uploading photos of their poop. Founder Joe Zhou told Decrypt that daily tracking will reveal trends, behaviors and remedies that annual doctor visits miss. Rewards are paid in the project's Solana-based POOP token, which launched in July and sits at a nearly $6 million market cap. Zhou said user data, anonymized, will be sold once Doop reaches about 500,000 monthly active users. Nutritionist Nishtha Patel said a photo alone cannot diagnose conditions and that a proper stool test is needed.
