Uniswap Foundation: Summary Q2’2024 Financials

On June 30, 2024 we had $36.81 million in USD and stables on hand and UNI 0.68 million (in UNI).

What the fuck, that‘s really not a lot of money considering the impact and reach that they have.

1.5 years of runway for the most successful DEX? This sounds pretty scary. If Uniswap can't be sustainable, then who can?

Okay, false alarm.

I asked some DeFi friends, and they told me that, just like with most protocols, there are two entities: Uniswap Foundation and Uniswap Labs.

Uniswap Labs is the entity that receives the money generated by the Uniswap app. The Foundation — which shared its financial statement here — got a big $UNI grant from Labs a few years ago, but it doesn't receive money from the app.
