@sinusoidalsnail: Women on Farcaster face harassment for using face pfps

A Farcaster user writes that the recent excessive quote-casting of women's profile pictures is intentionally hostile, and describes harassment she says she faced after using her own face as her pfp. She says she was told her pfp indicated a "high body count" and that during a "prove they're real" narrative, women were criticized whether or not they showed their faces. After she stopped posting photos, she says she feels her words are taken seriously only when detached from her appearance. She says she has lost respect for people who interact with such pictures in a misogynist way.
