i believe farcaster is the most important thing happening in crypto right now — and maybe third overall, after space travel and agi

This. This is so real. It's so simple. I wonder why we have no success at all in communicating this, or convincing people. Why?

If you mean convincing people to join Farcaster, I invited several friends and asked them why they are not really active. Their answer is that there is no content they like, that everything feels so bubbleish (Web3/male/techbro/nerd).

Plus, they have a hard time finding things to post and getting followers and engagement. Mainly because they don’t find interesting people to follow, so there is neither follow back at the end of the day.

Talking about something else, I feel kind of sad that all altclients in Farcaster are jeopardized by Warpcast/Merkle, either by abusing of their power position (like keeping DCs propietary to Warpcast and not interoperable with other clients) or acquihiring teams building altclients.

Warpcast is their way of propagating the protocol, I don’t blame them for prioritising it.

There are also other ways of going to market. With Kiwi, for example, we aren't so overly powerful that we could become a threat to other clients. Yes, we have much less success. But we're also much younger than Warpcast.
