Yes, I agree. If you must use passkeys don’t store in iCloud or Windows Hello but use a cross platform password manager like for example Bitwarden to store them so you don’t lock yourself in a big tech trap.
So basically this is an endorsement of crypto wallets, which are cross-platform compatible but have awful UX because the prompt the user to write down seed phrases
