Shape L2 is an interesting new Eth L2 chain promoted for creators. Actually it is from the same team that brought us Deca. I minted my “stack” and after 10 minutes I found myself farming lol. It immediately reminded me of Deca, which also very much is incentivized by all kinds of farming. Somehow you don’t want to farm, but you are pulled into it only to find out after a while that you are doing it. Of course also wondering why we need yet another art L2 chain, but why not? The more art the better. And I think Shape has the best team and also great support by artists and collectors alike of all the “art L2s” that have launched. (Zora, Forma, etc.) It has somehow 2021 vibes, maybe it’s the Deca feel, I don’t know. But it is certainly one to watch.
Speaking of art and L2s, Tezos used to be my go to for interesting artsy stuff, and I found a lot of creators I loved on there... Now they also have an L2, but I don't think they are bringing the art on it. It'd be nice if we could just have art without all the thinking about which chains its on. Anyway, I minted a stack and used rainbow wallet to connect, then all the claiming failed. Maybe it's me being an idiot :D I shall figure it out eventually. probably just an issue of shape not being supported by the wallet yet haha

Yeah…, but it seems that this one is going for the DIY artists from 2021, whereas Zora is pursuing the marginal consumer by reducing cost and friction. I actually think it is kinda smart to speak to sophisticated users on lower-levels for launching an NFT L2. Lots of potential. Meanwhile Zora is also speaking to this cohort. Recently, for example, they said that they‘re not going to publish their NFTs in compliance to open standards anymore 🤣
Stop using these ancient wallets. lol. Modern wallets like Zeal (works effortlessly) or probably Rabby will have no trouble with any new L2 you throw at it.

This is true I probably should use Zeal. Altho, I don't want to use more L2s. What is the endgame here? I lie on my deathbed thinking if only I had used another 100 L2s, maybe I'd have found the one true art chain? :D
