Some stats I found interesting: > "Established developers with 2+ yrs of XP grew in 2024, and the newcomers fell" Seems like our developer retention is good. I guess we have fewer newcomers because many devs now go to AI. > "Asia is the #1 continent in crypto developer share" Didn't see it coming! Would be great to see more Asian crypto apps. Interestingly, Europe has a higher developer share than North America. > Polygon is #3 ecosystem by developer share in Asia and South America Didn't see it coming at all. I thought that's because they have a lot of devs in India but in India they're not even in top3 - Solana is the most popular ecosystem (!). > "Solana has almost the same developer share in Asia as Ethereum. Base has about 50% of the Solana's developer share in North America." Base growth is promising but Solana's growth in Asia is concerning. > On slide 41 they show which ecosystem has the most new devs. It's Solana. But they unbundled Ethereum into Ethereum and L2s separately. Would be interesting to see a stacked chart, taking into account Ethereum x L2s overlap when it comes to devs repos, as on slide 53 they say that Mainnet shares 12% of devs with other chains. > "Aptos and ICP had 1,000+ new devs in 2024" wtf I can't explain it > "Ethereum L2s monthly active devs fell -6% since Nov 2023" That's concerning. We are in the bull run, the number should go up?
