Ferran shared this really nice idea: https://news.kiwistand.com/stories/The-Minotaur-paradox?index=0x67a46082f668a0ad74c212da0dd1e330465ebf92eed8668688a05ca04416f7ea8400b88e I think we‘re also affected by the Minotaurus. We just want to create a space for sharing news, yet the backend has all these specifics about how that should happen instead of making it easy for people to use 🥝 🔥 👀 💯 🤭 Yes, and Moxie is a very good example. I can remember when it launched everyone including myself were taken aback by all the hoops you’d had to jump through. (And it hasn’t been getting better, I noticed that when claiming my unvested tokens.) What was brilliant of Degen, and I guess why it was a success, is that it was so simple. Just reply to allocate. I guess that Moxie looked at Degen and saw its success was short lived. So they tried to build it out first and build-in all kinds of stuff so folks wouldn’t dump. But that is just not how it works I think. It needs to be a simple game everyone can play and then you get the energy. Good stuff comes organically, it has to grow, you have to adapt while it grows. And with memecoins like Degen, and what Moxie tried to be, it is by definition short lived. It is gambling, gaming, and at some point it will be game over. It is hard to build ahead for that. Memes are all about attention and attention is scarce. In fact attention is the most valuable good in the online space. Everyone is competing for it. (Of course there are lone exemptions where value is retained in memecoins, like Doge coin, but still surely you couldn’t built ahead for that.) So if you want to launch a successful memecoin, make it fun and simple, and accept it will get dumped hard in the end. No love in memecoins. 🥝 🔥 👀 💯 🤭 Btw, I actually think Sassal is onto the same thing as I Am. We need a broad rebranding of Ethereum. But not necessarily on the "design assets" side, but more on training staff on external communication. Essentially we need an executive order from Vitalik to stop staff from pushing out ugly shit. The guideline should be this: - We are the stewards for a 300B USD asset - We want to be the stewards of an asset that is as valuable as Google or Apple. We have to start acting as professional as them in what we publish - For anyone who pushes stuff out it has to go through a basic design assessment by [responsible team/person] - [responsible team/person] will make sure that the bare minimum quality of branding and design is achieved Finally, outward facing EF shit has to be improved iteratively towards beauty. 🥝 🔥 👀 💯 🤭 Tbh, Kiwi seems to me one of the easiest projects to play around in Web3. What do you think it should improve on Kiwi to be easier for people to use? As soon as the login part with Passkeys improves I feel like it will be really close to a Web2 experience. 🥝 🔥 👀 💯 🤭 What do you think it should improve on Kiwi to be easier for people to use? We have to make crypto a beautiful consumer experience. Beautiful, aesthetically visually pleasing, accessible I feel like we can even do this without improving engagement metrics. It‘s more an effort of finding design and aesthetic preferences and executing on them well 🥝 🔥 👀 💯 🤭 | |
