Let’s say for example a DAO has a channel in Farcaster. The DAO can have an ER that is an up/down vote, where users’ votes are weighted based on DAO tokens held. Another channel can have an ER that is a 5-star review, where only Hypersub holders can review casts. Yet another ER can simply display whether the user is a likely spammer (as a percentage), based on how many people flag the user’s casts.

Very interesting idea. Idk if the Merkle team plans to keep investing in the channels, but having channel-specific reactions might be useful.

Or these could change based on the contents of your wallet - so if you're e.g., a Purple holder, you will see the option to upvote a prop directly in the feed.

Definitely. Farcaster Labels are maybe a step in this direction, but at the same time understandable why Merkle is deprioritizing Channels at the moment. I still think channels are important for the protocol's growth (though perhaps not necessarily for the social media aspect of it)

Why btw? Why are channels deprioritized?

Seems they're not a big growth factor for Farcaster atm
