Living the expat life I feel this. I can’t get anything done with the banking system in Honduras. I’m lucky that my wife is a citizen and she does literally all the banking and utilities and anything that touches the financial system.

I just got my permanent residence approved though after a year so maybe things are about to get easier… just as I’m starting to think how o can fully exit the system and become a sovereign individual (I see you prospera).

Isn't it bananas that you move to a country, want to spend money there, and you can't do it because you're not a part of the official financial system?

Unless their goal is to limit the expat activity (which could be a fair goal for some countries), then I think they should lower the barriers as much as possible.
