Aren't we manufacturing a problem with this? I remember when it was still wise to store as little money as possible in a smart contract. That was even before the advent of DeFi and I thought: Wow, it's actually really stupid to optimize for Total Value Locked, because this is just a metric of how incentivized hackers are to find a vulnerability in that code. Now with "how thoroughly is your app spamming the chain" I feel the same way. Clearly, it is a good situation to keep having ultra cheap transactions on Ethereum. At the same time though, people want transactions to be expensive because then their ETH price will go up. For example, a dashboard like this should ask: How much retention do apps have? I think Kiwi also has garbage retention and we don't have many users. But probably we have overall pretty decent retention if you look over a year or so, because our users keep logging themselves in onchain etc. I hope when they vote on OP retro funding this time they'll take smth like this into account. π₯ π₯ π π― π€ π₯ π₯ π π― π€ | |
