- @pichi: Farcaster's algorithm is artificially boosting small accounts (farcaster.xyz)
Farcaster's feed algorithm is believed by the author, pichi, to be artificially boosting certain newer accounts, and the author calls for the practice to end. The author cites casts from accounts with about 1,000 followers that reached 10,000 to 18,000 views, while longtime casters with over 100,000 followers saw reach fall by as much as 67% in the last 30 days, per a Dune-based unique-account metric. The author says these patterns cannot be explained without boosting, though the piece also acknowledges that timing, interaction graphs and reposts by top casters can affect visibility.

- The Impenetrable Male: Giga Chad as Digital Body Armor (networkcultures.org)
The essay argues that the Giga Chad meme works as digital armor for men who feel threatened by feminism and social change, and that masculinity's structural demands make the crisis chronic rather than temporary. It describes Giga Chad as a digitally manipulated image built from photographs attributed to fitness model Ernest Khalimov, created by Russian artist Krista Sudmalis for her "Sleek'N'Tears" project, which first circulated on 4chan in 2017. Incels adopted the image as the ultimate "Chad," a rival that offers both distress and comfort, as John Mercer and Clarissa Smith put it. The text also cites Jacob Johansson's claim that Chad embodies a racialised fantasy of white masculinity.
