Introducing Songcoins

Coop Records announces Songcoins, a shift to releasing songs as coins on Base, starting with new coins from San Holo and BLOND:ISH and a planned new release every Friday. Each song coin has a 1B supply, split 5% to artist(s), 5% to Coop Records and 90% to liquidity, and launches at a market cap of about $4000 and trades directly on Uniswap. Coins allocated to artists, Coop Records and the incentive pool vest over 90 days. Collectibles will continue alongside coins, and the company says it has paid artists over $1m from collectibles since 2023.
