Autistici/Inventati (A/I), a 25-year-old collective that provides privacy-friendly, non-commercial digital services, announced that it is shutting down and will soon discontinue all of its services. The collective says it was designated a global terrorist organization and that continuing to operate endangers its users and members of its communities, given possible legal and financial consequences and repression it expects to grow. It advises users that it will soon send instructions for backing up blogs, mailboxes and websites, and warns that the autistici.org domain was already made unreachable without notice and further disruptions may occur.
