Cloudflare suffered a major outage on Tuesday that cascaded into widespread disruptions across thousands of websites and applications, renewing crypto-sector calls for decentralized infrastructure. BitMEX faced an outage and Telegram-linked blockchain Toncoin had significant downtime, while platforms such as X and ChatGPT also went down. Fadl Mantash, Chief Information Security Officer at Tribe payments, said the impact of a single upstream provider failure does not stay contained.
