Google introduces Gemini 4 Carbon frontier model

Google has announced Gemini 4 Carbon, which it describes as its strongest model, with state-of-the-art cybersecurity and long-horizon capabilities. Carbon ranks #1 on the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.0 at 59, and scores 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on Collinear's CWE-bench for patching. Access is initially limited to a subset of cyber defenders, with further trusted partners added through the Fairwind Program, while broader availability to developers, businesses, and consumers is planned as soon as possible. Carbon launches at the same introductory price as Gemini 4 Argon: $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
