Kraken Secures MiCA License To Offer Bitcoin And Crypto In Europe

Kraken has secured a license under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) from the Central Bank of Ireland, allowing it to expand regulated services across all 30 European Economic Area member states. The company already holds Virtual Asset Service Provider registrations in several European countries, including Ireland, Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and Spain. Co-CEO Arjun Sethi said the license reflects the company's commitment to responsible innovation and to meeting the central bank's regulatory expectations. The license opens opportunities in spot trading, derivatives, and payments.
