Arweave for this, and the ARB stack for that, with a little sprinkle of ETH for good measure." This is a great point. It feels natural to have your Paragraph post stored on Arweave and see it minted on ZORA or use Farcaster identity stored on Optimism to log in to a Base app. And I agree that we are avantgarde, and DeFi could draw some lessons from crypto media experiments. BTW really enjoyed the style - you should write more, kairon!

In fact, on that point, this is, in my view, how we're supposed to use blockchains! We should actually be 'sprinkling' their usage as this creates a much higher efficiency for all users, because they have to pay fewer gas costs, and simply because it is rational for an engineer to use something just so solve one specific problem.

This is a topic a lot of people could write entire doctoral theses about, I find it quite interesting how people in general seem to become [Insert favorite technology] maxis and usually don't see the nuance, EXCEPT when it comes to media. This isn't unique to blockchain, the cinema and TV industries, and videogames also tend to be early adopters in bridging the gap between what works and what *might* work Also, thank you for your kind comment Mac! I've been trying to get hyped up about writing again, hope to get back in the jam of things soon
