What does the 🧢 (blue hat) emoji mean?

The 🧢 (blue hat) emoji represents a baseball cap but is popularly used as slang for "lie," so "That's 🧢" means "That's a lie" and "no 🧢" means "I'm not lying." The emoji is rarely aggressive and is usually a playful "you're full of it" remark. Adding "no" in front of it signals conviction, as in "I'm buying a car this summer, no 🧢." The article says the slang traces to Southern rappers in the mid-1980s and to the "playing the dozens" tradition, though the link between "cap" and "lying" is unclear.
