Two weeks ago we launched the Safenet Aegis protocol and last week it was integrated in Safe{Wallet}. This is a big milestone we delivered right before Devcon. As AI accelerates attacks on self-custody, we have to build better defences. Defence paradigms today are just UI warnings, and they won’t be enough. Safenet wants to replace the warning with a verdict from independent security firms, attested onchain and enforced on the account itself. The release has gone through audits and the Safenet Guard has gone through formal verification. Aegis is the first release that checks real transactions, enforces the result on the account, and pays the Sentinels doing the work. It is now live on Ethereum, Arbitrum and Gnosis Chain. With the Safe{Wallet} integration that went live last week the checks are present in the UI. Next will be the Guard enforcement integration. The next phases on the roadmap will be about running and scaling the network. Q1 2027 puts the network under more throughput, scales arbitration and iterates on the token model based on real data. Beyond that, more wallets, networks and specialized Sentinels are on the roadmap: https://docs.safefoundation.org/safenet-… Thanks to the Sentinels and Validators who committed to building with us. Thanks to you, we have a new innovation in defensive tech against the rising attacks on self-custody.
