This is super good! Thanks for sharing rvolz! I already knew about the Girardian status game of prestige and memetic desire, but this video does a far better job of unbundling many of these ideas. Really great resource for understanding how society works!

The status economy is an aspect of Shapiro's thesis about Post Labour Economics (or Post AGI Economics), see this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eD5GlCIS0sA if interested. The status economy came up with web2, but with crypto/web3 it got revived and presumably will stay important.
