The I can't keep up has been with me since I started in crypto, although back then, I felt good having understood the different consensus algorithms and read 50 whitepapers. Now, there are not even whitepapers to read that I would understand (I tried Eigenlayer, but I gave up, ha). There are only so many hours in a day I can dedicate to trying to have a sense of what's happening. And we appear to cycle through narratives faster. Over the years, though, I realized that the hot and new was as fast announced as forgotten. So, I'm now okay with not knowing every new buzzword or tool. At least, there's Kiwi, so we are probably on top of things more than others. I think Orwell said that the real test for literature is survival. A similar applies to tech. If they survive long enough, we all will end up trying. But if it's gone after 3 weeks, it wasn't meant to be. | |
