Circle is Discontinuing Support for USDC on the TRON Blockchain

Circle is discontinuing support for USDC on the TRON blockchain in a phased transition, and it will no longer mint USDC on TRON effective immediately. Circle Mint customers can transfer USDC on TRON to other blockchains or redeem it for fiat directly with Circle through February 2025, but transfers from Circle Mint to external wallets are no longer supported. Retail and non-Circle users are directed to exchanges, brokerages and on/off-ramp providers to move or redeem their USDC, and Circle says USDC remains redeemable 1:1 for US dollars. The company says the decision resulted from its risk management framework and an enterprise-wide review involving business, compliance and other functions.
