EURC Now Available on Base

EURC, a euro-backed stablecoin issued by Circle, is now live on Base mainnet for developers and users. Circle Mint and its APIs now support minting and redeeming EURC on Base for financial institutions. Launch partners include Aerodrome, Coinbase, Coinbase Wallet and Uniswap Labs, and the article says EURC and USDC are the first stablecoins from a major global issuer to comply with the EU's MiCA regulation. USDC, launched on Base last year, has nearly $3 billion in circulation there as of August 1, 2024.
